Pontoon Beach Police Commission

The Board of Police Commissioners of the Village of Pontoon Beach will be accepting applications to establish a LATERAL HIRE eligibility list for the position of Police Officer.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Currently a full-time sworn officer of a regular police department in any municipal, county, university or State law enforcement agency provided you are certified by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training Standards Board and have been with your respective law enforcement agency within the State of Illinois for at least two (2) years.
2. Reside within a 20 mile radius of the Pontoon Beach Police Department, within the State of Illinois.
3. Meet all other qualifications as set forth in the rules and regulations of the Board of Police Commissioners of the Village of Pontoon Beach.

Application packets will be available for pick up starting Monday, January 27, 2020.  Completed applications must be returned to the Pontoon Beach Police Department and received no later than 5:00pm on Monday, February 10, 2020.
